Crafting Memories with Ash Keepsakes

Losing someone you love is never easy, and finding a way to honour their memory can feel overwhelming. After my mom passed, I created a small piece of jewellery with her ashes, and it gave me so much comfort to keep her close. Seeing how much my family and friends appreciated the idea inspired me to start Ash Keepsakes. Our keepsakes are more than jewellery—they’re a personal connection to the people we’ve loved and lost, made with care to help you cherish those memories every day.

Frequently asked questions

How is my jewellery made?

Our team of craftspeople respectfully blend a tiny amount of the ashes with the special resin in your chosen colour, layer upon layer to create a truly exquisite piece of jewellery. When finished, the resin has the appearance of a glossy stone containing the ashes suspended within like floating flakes. The final outer layer is extremely hard and durable to protect the resin and its precious contents, unlike glass which can shatter or chip quite easily. We offer a choice of colours, but as each piece is individually crafted, there may be slight variations in the final finish and colour

How much ash do you need to create my jewellery?

We generally only need a very small amount of cremation ash - somewhere around half a teaspoon, that you return to us in the collection pot we'll send to you. We absolutely understand that you may feel nervous parting with your loved one's ashes, but you can be assured that they will be treated with the utmost respect and care whilst in our possession. Upon receipt the ashes, along with your personalised order summary, are immediately stored in a sealed labelled bag until your jewellery is ready to be made. We work in a sterile environment so there is no chance of cross contamination with any other order, and once complete, any remaining ashes will be sealed back into the collection pot and stored with your completed jewellery ready to be sent back to you.

recommend that half a teaspoons worth of cremation ash is enough to create around 3 pieces of jewellery as we do only use a small amount in each piece. If you have placed an order for multiple pieces, we would recommend supplying a full teaspoons worth and we will be sure to return any unused ashes with your finished jewellery.

How do I care for my jewellery?

We use a special UV resistant resin to craft your special piece of jewellery, so you can wear it without worry most of the time. However, potential damage can be caused by extreme sunlight, heat or harsh chemicals and therefore we recommend removing our jewellery when sunbathing, applying perfume and lotion, showering and bathing or when sunbathing.

What delivery method do you use?

Once your jewellery is complete, we'll send it back to you using at least a tracked, 48 hour delivery service. We'll also include any unused ashes that you sent to us with your order. For piece of mind, when you return your collection pot to us, we recommend that you also used a tracked service

Can I include ashes from more than one person?

Yes of course - this is a perfect idea if someone has lost both parents for example. Simply mix the ashes in the collection pot we send - or if you'd rather, ask us to send two pots, and we'll mix them when we create your jewellery.
